During question period in the House of Commons on Thursday, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole called Bill C-10, which is aimed at regulating social media companies and streaming giants “a direct attack on free speech,” calling on the government to scrap the contentious legislation. In response, Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault accused the opposition leader of not having read the bill.
