Suspect arrested in Guilford homicide known to police

The suspect in the fatal shooting of a young woman in Surrey on Tuesday night is now in police custody. Homicide investigators say that while this killing does “not” appear to be gang-related — as Andrea MacPherson reports — the suspect is described as a man in his 20’s who is well known to police and with ties to organized crime on the Lower Mainland.
