After announcing the approval of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 12 to 15 years old, Health Canada’s chief medical advisor Dr. Supriya Sharma said research into the safety of COVID-19 vaccines for younger kids is underway and that Pfizer may give Health Canada a submission for the younger age groups of 5 to 11 as soon as September.
