Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is asking for a new trial, according to court records,. The move comes just two weeks after being found guilty in the death of George Floyd. Chauvin’s attorney claims his client was deprived of a fair trial, adding there was prosecutorial and jury misconduct.
