Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reassured Canadians on Tuesday that all vaccines approved by Health Canada are “safe and effective” following mixed messaging from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) which stated that the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines are “preferred.” Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam added that Canadians “should feel confident” about getting vaccinated.
