Can you remember the last time you had a chance for a night out at a concert or a symphony? For many of us, it’s become a distant memory. For musicians, it’s become a struggle to keep the doors open. The Peterborough Symphony Orchestra has had to pivot during the pandemic, moving from live music, in packed concert halls to virtual performances. The orchestra begins streaming it’s second virtual concert, Dancing to the Light, on April 17. Music director and conductor Michael Newnham spoke with Global News Morning Peterborough anchor Noor Ibrahim about the show, and what the orchestra has gone through in the past year.
