Affordable housing an issue for low income and vulnerable residents
Description
March 11, 2021
While the province is rolling out the COVID 19 vaccine, there is still no question that the pandemic is continuing to take its toll. Some of the hardest hit over the past year have been low income and vulnerable residents. Here in Peterborough, shelter systems have been stretched to their limit, an issue compounded by an increased need for affordable housing.
Yesterday, the Ontario government announced an additional $1.9 million dollars to help Peterborough build more affordable units. Peterborough Kawartha MPP Dave Smith spoke with Noor Ibrahim about the issue on Global News Morning Peterborough.
