Scams and fraudsters are an unfortunate part of our reality. But since the COVID 19 pandemic began police have seen an increase in some types of frauds that take advantage of pandemic-related restrictions. Peterborough Police Det. Const. Keith Calderwood says more people between the ages of 18 to 26 are falling victim to scam artists-particularly rental scams. He spoke with Global News Morning Peterborough anchor Katrina Squazzin about what to watch out for, and how to protect those you care about.
