Texas storm: Governor says all forms of power in state have been ‘compromised’

Addressing comments he made in an interview where he appeared to blame renewable energy for Texas’ energy grid problem following the winter storm, Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday that in several interviews he has said every source of power in the state has been “compromised,” not just renewable energy but through things like gas, nuclear and coal. He also said that an investigation would begin into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas after the state saw large-scale power outages following the storm.
