FireEye CEO says SolarWinds hack was found after security staff noticed issue with employee account

In an interview on 60 Minutes, FireEye CEO Kevin Mandia said that the SolarWinds hack, which Microsoft president Brad Smith called the most sophisticated and largest attack “ever,” would not have been found if a security staff member had not noticed an employee had two phones registered to their name, even though they only should have had one.
