B.C. healthcare a ‘much different experience’ for Indigenous people: report author

Former children’s commissioner Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond has details from the findings from the report data into systemic racism in B.C.’s health care system. Turpel-Lafond was appointed by Health Minister Adrian Dix following serious allegations that emerged in June that staff at a B.C. hospital were playing a game guessing the blood alcohol level of Indigenous patients.
