Coronavirus: Biden says he hopes to reach 1.5 million daily COVID-19 vaccinations within weeks

U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday spoke about COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the country, saying that “time is of the essence” in terms of getting doses out, and said his administration is hoping they will soon have enough vaccine supply within the next three weeks to start vaccinating up to 1.5 million a day, exceeding his initial goal of one million per day. This could potentially increase his administration’s goal of 100 million vaccines in his first 100 days in office to 150 million.
