The House of Commons passed on Monday a motion presented by NDP leader Jagmeet Singh calling on the government to use all available tools to address hate groups and white supremacists, starting with the designation of Proud Boys as a terrorist organization. The motion is non-binding, but Public Safety Minister Bill Blair is gathering evidence to possibly make an official designation.
