Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, spoke Sunday about the importance of vaccinating people against COVID-19 during an interview on CBS’ Face the Nation. Fauci said while they are closely monitoring the efficacy of vaccines against the U.K. and South African variants, they remain the “best way to prevent against further evolution” of the coronavirus.
