Senate President pro tempore Sen. Chuck Graslley was pulled from the Senate chamber on Wednesday, with the session put into recess amid security concerns. Vice-President Mike Pence who had been presiding over the chamber appeared to no longer be in the chamber. The House of Representatives was also put into recess. According to reports, protesters demonstrating in support of President Donald Trump had entered the Capitol building.
