Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke about MPs and other Canadian politicians travelling abroad for non-essential reasons during the pandemic, stressing that “no one should be vacationing abroad” right now. He also spoke about the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit, saying it was for people who needed sick leave if they needed it and it’s not provided by their employer, and was not for travellers quarantining “after a holiday.”
