Alberta chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said the U.K. variant of COVID-19 appears to be more infectious and explained what measures are being taken to track it and how spread would be controlled if detected. As of Monday, Hinshaw said Alberta had identified one case and no apparent spread.
