Firefighters quickly extinguished a barn fire on Forest Road in Otonabee-South Monaghan Township on Tuesday morning.
Crews responded around 9 a.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the building. Livestock had been removed from the barn several weeks ago.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation but a heated water bowl was found near the fire origin’s, said fire chief Ted Bryan.
No injuries were reported.
