Mental health advocates say police shouldn’t always be the first to respond to crisis calls

Susan Davis, the Executive Director of the Gerstein Centre in Toronto, says she doesn’t think that first response should involve a police officer in many health-related calls, especially with many groups that don’t have a trustful relationship with police.
