The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a police shooting claimed the life of a toddler and injured his father in the City of Kawartha Lakes on Thursday morning. An OPP officer was also injured after police were initially responding to a domestic incident involving a firearm in nearby Trent Lakes.
