The state of homeless shelters in Peterborough

The City of Peterborough is weeks away from opening the doors on its Wolfe Street project, a new, 24/7 overflow shelter located in the former Peterborough and the Kawarthas Economic Development building. The city has struggled to find places for everyone needing a roof over their head, due to the fact that most shelter spaces are now housing fewer people due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Jocelyn Blazey, with the city’s social services division, spoke with Global News Morning Peterborough anchor Lindsay Biscaia about the state of shelters in Peterborough.
