Child dead, OPP officer seriously injured, 1 in custody in incident in City of Kawartha Lakes

The SIU reports a boy is dead and a City Of Kawartha Lakes OPP officer was seriously injured following an incident on Thursday morning. OPP have not provided any details but say one person is in custody.
The SIU says a man was shot during an interaction with police.
Pigeon Lake Road, just east of Lindsay is closed for an investigation.
