Japanese-Canadian soldier remembered for the sacrifice made to his adopted country

The Japanese Canadian War Memorial monument in Stanley Park was built 100 years ago to commemorate the sacrifice Japanese Canadians made for their adopted country. It was paid for by the soldiers themselves. Squire Barnes has the little-known story of a Japanese-Canadian soldier who fought for and defended this country, even when it treated him like a second-class citizen.
