Ontario Finance Minister Rod Phillips announced Thursday, as part of the government’s $187-billion budget, a new tax credit aimed at helping seniors stay in their homes longer. The credit will reimburse them for 25 per cent on eligible renovations up to $10,000, regardless of income and whether they owe taxes in 2021.
