Coronavirus: WHO says world is at a ‘critical juncture’ amid pandemic, some countries on a ‘dangerous track’

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Friday that the world is now at a “critical juncture” in the COVID-19 pandemic, and that some countries are on a “dangerous track.” He urged world leaders to “take immediate action” to prevent further deaths and the potential collapse of essential health services.
