Major gas leak forces street closures, evacuations in downtown Montreal

A major gas pipe ruptured during construction work at the corner of Atwater Avenue and de Maisonneuve Boulevard on Wednesday morning. Excavation crews were brought in to dig up the pipe and cap the leak but not before metro stations, stores and Dawson College were evacuated. Global’s Phil Carpenter reports.
