NDP criticizes Liberal government over ethics commissioner’s findings on Palantir Technologies Canada

NDP ethics critic Charlie Angus on Monday criticized the Trudeau government’s meetings with Palantir Technologies Canada to hire the company for tracking COVID-19 cases, after the ethics commissioner found former U.S. ambassador David MacNaughton guilty of promoting Palantir’s interests to senior Trudeau government officials including Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland. Angus also said the company is linked to “human rights abuses and deportation along U.S. border, and data surveillance in Iraq”.
