A day after pushing back against an official California warning that the cause of ongoing wildfires was not solely due to “poor forest management” but also due to climate change, U.S President Donald Trump on Tuesday stood firm in his belief that when floors of forests build up with leaves and timber that are dry “you’re causing forest fires.” He also appeared to put the blame of global warning, when asked if it was a hoax, on China, Russia, India and other countries that “haven’t done much for global warming,” adding the U.S. carbon numbers were very low.
