Liberal campaign manager Don Arseneault spoke with Global’s Shelley Steeves Monday shortly after Global News declared the Progressive Conservative party, and Premier Blaine Higgs, would form New Brunswick’s next government. Arseneault said they would have liked it to be “a little tighter,” but “knew it was an uphill battle.” He said rookie leader Kevin Vickers’ campaign was “a little bit challenging” to run during the coronavirus pandemic, pointing to the experience of the other candidates.
