Introducing Kaycee Madu — Alberta’s new justice minister
Description
August 26, 2020
Kaycee Madu, a lawyer who was born in Nigeria, is Alberta's and Canada's first Black justice minister. He has been tasked with overseeing a crackdown on property crimes, reviewing the Police Act and introduce legislation to allow citizen-initiated referendums. As Kendra Slugoski explains, many in the Black and legal community hope Madu will bring a fresh perspective to the role.
