Chief public health officer of Canada Dr. Theresa Tam and Health Minister Patty Hajdu on Friday discussed a campaign targeting young people amid the COVID-19 pandemic, saying that as colleges and schools reopen, Public Health will have a role to play along with researchers in closely monitoring how illnesses spread. Deputy public health officer Dr. Howard Njoo added that both he and Tam are “game” to be featured on TikTok or other social media platforms to reach younger audiences.
