A new Ipsos poll conducted exclusively for Global News found support for Liberals has dropped, while support for Conservatives has grown in the wake of former finance minister Bill Morneau’s resignation. Ipsos vice president Sean Simpson said approval ratings for Trudeau are still high, but that even without a leader the Conservatives are now “in striking distance” of the Liberals federally.
