Trudeau says they’ve released WE Charity documents for review, don’t want election

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, asked about proroguing parliament, said on Tuesday that they have released the documents related to the WE Charity scandal for members of the committees to ask “any questions” on the issue, but committees investigating the issue would be suspended until Sept. 23. Trudeau also said they were proroguing parliament, in part, to “force” a confidence vote on their return to gain support from the other parties for their plan to restart the economy, but that they don’t want an election.
