Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who ran for the Democratic nomination in both 2016 and 2020, called for an “unprecedented response, a movement like never before” of people to stand up and fight for democracy and elect Joe Biden as president. He also addressed those who supported both his campaigns and thanked them for their trust, and through their support have made the common goals of the campaign “mainstream.”
