Bill Morneau says he tendered resignation, was not asked to resign

Former finance minister Bill Morneau said on Monday that he was not told by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to leave his position and was the one to tender his resignation that morning. He added that he considered the past five years “the work of a lifetime.”
