New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs on Friday would not commit to calling a provincial election in the next 48 hours after the Liberals pulled out of stability talks. The stability talks saw Higgs meeting with all three opposition parties to look at getting an agreement that the opposition would not try to bring down the government for two years or the COVID-19 pandemic is declared over — whichever comes first. The Liberals had said they would not give the minority government powers akin to a majority.
