Canadian Bianca Andreescu announced on Thursday she would not be defending her title at the U.S. Open this year. She hasn’t played a match since October when she suffered a knee injury, and said Thursday that the COVID-19 pandemic has compromised her ability to prepare and be at her highest level on returning.
