U.S. adds 1.8 million jobs in July; unemployment rate drops to 10.2 per cent
Description
August 7, 2020
The United States added 1.8 million jobs in July, a pullback from the gains of May and June, and the unemployment rate did decline in July from 11.1 per cent to 10.2 per cent. Bitter divisions and pessimism are the current winners, as Democrats and the White House haggle over the next coronavirus relief bill, and President Trump threatens executive orders as early as today. NBC's Tracie Potts reports.
