NASA officials say boats near splashdown point not anticipated, but was safe at landing
Credit: NASA TV. NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine and Commercial Crew program manager Steve Stich spoke on Sunday about the number of personal boats in the area of where the SpaceX Crew Dragon splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico. Bridenstine said the number of boats was not anticipated, but he understood the intrigue the landing had for people. Stich said the Coast Guard did clear the area for the actual landing but they have some work to do to keep the area quiet after the landing, which he said drew people in.
