Trump says he may not have ‘choice’ to send law enforcement into cities

Just hours after announcing a “surge” of law enforcement officers would be sent into Chicago to tackle violent crime and the possibility of the same happening with other cities, President Donald Trump said that he may not have a choice but to send agents into various cities, but encouraged cities like Detroit, Philadelphia and Chicago to “call” on federal officials to help. He also addressed past comments saying the increase in crime in 2016 was former president Barack Obama’s fault, but the current rise is the mayors’ fault, saying that Obama had a chance to go into Chicago, but didn’t.
