Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Merrilee Fullerton, minister of long-term care, announced Wednesday the government would accelerate the development of new long term care homes in the province, introducing changes to the way it funds construction of said long-term care homes. Fullerton said the new formula would pay builders more and include grants to cover up to 17 per cent of up-front capital costs.
