Facebook and Google suspend China’s data requests, TikTok to pull out of Hong Kong

Social media giants Facebook, Google and Twitter suspended processing China’s government requests for user data in Hong Kong on Monday following the country’s establishment of a sweeping new national security law for the semi-autonomous city. TikTok, owned by China-based ByteDance, has also announced it would pull out of Hong Kong within days.
