Environment Canada is “confident” a tornado touched down in the Sturgeon Lake area of the City of Kawartha Lakes on Tuesday afternoon.
A large funnel was reported around 3 p.m. and caused damage along Sturgeon Point.
Environment Canada hasn’t visited the scene but says video evidence makes them “quite confident” the funnel was a tornado.
Mike Smith captured some of the video from the area.
