Coronavirus: U.S. Open to go ahead without fans, Cuomo says

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo gave the green light on Tuesday for the U.S. Open to be held from Aug. 31- Sept. 13 without fans as part of the state’s reopening amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Cuomo said the United States Tennis Association (USTA) will take “extraordinary precautions” to protect players at the event.
