Bobcaygeon’s Pinecrest Nursing Home thanks community for support during outbreak

Pinecrest Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon, Ont., released a special video to thank the community for its ongoing support during the coronavirus outbreak over the past two months.
The outbreak – which was declared in late March – was deemed over on May 14. The deadly outbreak claimed the lives of 28 residents and the spouse of a resident. More than two dozen staff also fell ill during the pandemic.

Administrator Mary Carr: “We’ve been astounded by the words of comfort, acts of solidarity and innumerable gifts shared with all of us at Pinecrest Nursing Home. This support has meant the world to us! There is nothing that we can do that will adequately capture how grateful we are, but I hope you enjoy the following video.”
