The World Health Organization says that there are now over 5 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide.
Spain’s government has made it mandatory for everyone over the age of six to wear a face mask in public when physical distancing is not possible. The rule went into effect on May 21.
Beaches in Italy are preparing to reopen after being closed for several months. But the reopening will include many restrictions that ensure social distancing rules are being followed.
Palestinian authorities eased some restrictions and allowed for curb-side pick up in several cities in order to prepare for Eid. However, officials will be putting several cities and towns back under lockdown for a few days during the festival of Eid, to avoid mass gatherings.
The International Olympic Committee is suggesting that the Tokyo Summer Olympics which had to be rescheduled to 2021 due to COVID-19, could be scrapped completely if it's still not safe to host them by 2021.
In Singapore, a robot is being deployed into malls to fight the coronavirus. But instead of spraying chemicals, the robot is using ultraviolet light to sterilize hard-to-reach areas and even the air.
