Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe on Thursday announced a new wage supplement for essential workers in the province, which would be provided for up to 16 weeks, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Moe said $400 a month will be provided as a “temporary wage top up” for those who currently earn less than $2,500 per month. Those eligible include public or private seniors’ facilities workers, licensed childcare workers, shelter workers and more.
