Germany’s interior ministry said on Thursday it has banned the Iran-backed organization Hezbollah on its soil, and designated it a “terrorist organization”. Several dawn raids on mosques were conducted across Germany which police believe are closely linked to Hezbollah. The move by Germany to ban the group also means that Hezbollah symbols are banned at gatherings and in publications and the media.
