Nova Scotia RCMP Supt. Darren Campbell clarified for reporters on Tuesday that when he referred to a fight between the gunman in the Nova Scotia shooting and his common-law partner as being the “catalyst” for the deadly shooting rampage to come, he did not mean to imply any blame on the part of the woman and said he meant only that the fight was the first of a series of violent incidents that night and into the next day.
