World Health Organization (WHO) Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Monday that Friday’s launch of the WHO’s initiative of access to the COVID-19 tools accelerator, was a “powerful demonstration of the world’s solidarity.” He added that this initiative is a vital investment in the COVID-19 response as the organization is hopeful that the solidarity trial will help bring understanding to which therapeutics are the safest and most effective.
